The Arab–German Chamber Hosts MTS’s Second Workshop on the ACI Air Cargo System and the Enhanced Export Procedures

The Arab–German Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted MTS – NAFEZA last week for the second workshop on the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) air freight system and the enhanced export procedures on NAFEZA platform, both scheduled to be implemented starting January 1, 2026.

The workshop was held at the Chamber’s headquarters with the attendance of:Dr. Mahmoud Nour, Director of Logistics Centers Follow-up, Mr. Nashaat Bushra, Director of the Exemptions Department at Sokhna PortMr. Walid Sallouma, Director of Foreign Agreements at the Egyptian Customs Authority

And from MTS : Eng. Khaled Nassef Official Spokesman and Media Advisor Eng. Mohamed Khamis, Director of Business Analysis and Export Project ManagerMs. Amira Mohamed, Team lead of Business Analysis Dep Mr. Ahmed Torky, Training Team Leader Along with several members of the company’s team.

The workshop recorded the attendance of 125 participants from the trade community, representing 90 companies across various sectors.

The session was moderated by Mr. Ahmed Hesham, Industrial Working Groups Project Manager at the Chamber. He welcomed the attendees and emphasized MTS’s commitment to strengthening communication with the trade community and listening to their feedback to ensure optimal performance of NAFEZA system.

The workshop began with a welcome address from Eng. Khaled Nassef, who highlighted the important role of  NAFEZA platform in the continuous development of the Egyptian customs system, enhancing digital integration, facilitating trade procedures, and reducing clearance time and costs for stakeholders.

MTS delivered a detailed presentation on the enhanced export procedures and their operational mechanisms, presented by Eng. Mohamed Khamis and Ms. Amira El-Fateh, who explained the key updates introduced to ensure smoother processes and improved efficiency when using the new digital system.

This was followed by a specialized presentation from Mr. Ahmed Torky on the ACI air freight system, where he outlined the main technical features, data requirements, and electronic integration.

Representatives of the Egyptian Customs Authority also provided an explanatory presentation on the Trade Facilitation Agreement among Arab countries and the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement, clarifying compliance details and how traders can benefit from the exemptions and facilitations granted under these agreements.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants raised several questions and inquiries, which were addressed by both sides. The session reaffirmed the ongoing cooperation between the Egyptian Customs Authority and MTS to support the digital transformation of the customs system and strengthen services provided to the business community.
